Precision Calibration & Finishing

The BOSS Storm widebelt sander is a high-performance sanding solution designed for accurate calibration and fine finishing of solid wood, MDF, plywood, veneered panels, and other wood-based materials. Its proven roller and combination pad configuration delivers consistent thickness, superior surface quality, and efficient stock removal in a single pass. Built for reliability, ease of operation, and low maintenance, the BOSS Wide Belt Sander is a workhorse and provides exceptional sanding performance and long-term value for cabinet, furniture, millwork, and panel manufacturers. The Storm is available in 1, 2 and 3 head configurations and in a variety of widths from 700mm to the all new 2000mm version featured below.

Heavy Duty Frame

Constructed with heavy-duty rectangular steel framing, delivering exceptional rigidity and stability for precise, consistent performance. Main motors are enclosed within the frame for protection, while efficient V-belt and pulley transmission systems provide reliable power transfer to each working unit. Integrated disk brakes on every working unit ensure fast, controlled emergency stops for enhanced operator safety.

Spring-Loaded Pressure System

Spring-loaded 72 mm (2.8”) pressure rollers positioned before and after each working unit keep material securely against the conveyor, automatically compensating for variations in panel thickness. Mounted on easily adjustable roller racks, the system ensures consistent material hold-down, improved sanding accuracy, and smooth feeding throughout the process.

VARIABLE POWER THAT DRIVES PRECISION

The feed system features a heat-treated, precision-ground steel feed table with a machining tolerance of 0.05 mm, adjustable for workpiece thicknesses from 2.5–150 mm (0.1–5.9”). A variable-speed inverter drive (0–19 m/min / 0–62 ft/min) with an integrated bevel gearbox provides smooth, controlled feeding, while the steel roller infeed extension supports larger panels for improved material handling and consistent results.
